Adverse Health Care Event Reporting Law
Regulation establishing an adverse event reporting system for hospitals and ambulatory surgical treatment centers was adopted in November 2009. Due to state budget issues, the Act's implementation has been delayed until January 2011, when IDPH plans to begin a six-month reporting pilot.
