Now Online: IHA's 2012 State Advocacy Agenda

I am pleased to share with you IHA's 2012 State Advocacy Agenda, Keeping Hospitals Healthy = Keeping Illinois Strong. This year is shaping up to be one of the most challenging years in recent memory for the hospital community, with the state budget, Medicaid payment reform and property tax issues at the top of the agenda.

As part of our statewide public relations and advocacy campaign, this online publication is a useful tool for the hospital community as we strive to provide the strong leadership and critical direction on sound health care policy. A strong state depends upon strong hospitals for the vital health care services they provide as well as for their critical roles as major employers and economic engines. Hospitals are the state's most important partner in ensuring high-quality, accessible health care to the people of Illinois. IHA's State Advocacy Agenda documents IHA's goals and commitment to you for this legislative session, including other key challenges such as Illinois' deteriorating mental health care system.
