Urge Your Legislators to Oppose Medicaid Cuts to Hospitals
The State of Illinois continues to face major budget challenges, putting Medicaid at great risk for damaging cuts that would harm patients, hospitals and health care. Governor Quinn seeks to cut Medicaid by $2.7 billion in his state budget proposal. Hospitals are already facing difficult financial challenges with major health care funding cuts on the federal level as well as long Medicaid payment delays by the state.
Contact your state legislators now and urge them to oppose any proposal that imposes severe Medicaid funding cuts or drastic, untested changes on hospitals or that gives the Dept. of Healthcare and Family Services unilateral authority to revise, restructure or adjust Medicaid payment or rates.
