September 29, 2007 President Signs HR3668President Bush signed HR3668 into law on Sept. 29. That follows action by the U.S. Senate and House in passing this legislation that reduces the impact of a regulatory cut to Medicare inpatient hospital payments scheduled for Oct. 1. The legislation will reduce the dollar impact of the original percentage reductions by an estimated $32 million for Illinois hospitals during the coming federal fiscal year. Among other provisions, the bill also provides a six-month delay in implementation of the requirement that Medicaid prescriptions be written on tamper-resistant prescription paper.
