IIlinois Risk Management Services (IRMS)

IRMS is an affiliate corporation of the Illinois Hospital Association formed in 1979 to provide services to IHA member institutions. Since its beginning over 30 years ago, IRMS has expanded into a full-service operation specialized in meeting the insurance needs of Illinois hospitals and physicians.

Over half of the hospitals in Illinois participate in IRMS' programs, which include:

• Illinois Provider Trust (IPT) - a hospital-owned trust offering medical professional and general liability coverage to non-profit hospitals.
• Physician Professional Liability Insurance - available for physicians affiliated with IPT or IRMS hospitals. 
• Illinois Compensation Trust (ICT) - a hospital-owned trust offering workers' compensation and employers liability coverage to non-profit hospitals and health care organizations. 
• Claims Management Services - Medical Professional Liability

• Risk Management Consulting - Medical Professional Liability
