Hospitals serve persons with mental health and addiction disorders through specialized facilities and programs as well as in acute, general care settings. To support their commitment to improving the mental health of their patients and communities, we provide advocacy, education and technical assistance in a variety of relevant areas, such as:

  • Organization, financing and regulation of mental health and addictions services
  • Legislation relevant to provider issues and patients
  • Develop policy on quality of care, delivery system and access to care
