Health Care Issues

Workforce

Illinois hospitals are local employers that provide essential health services to their communities. IHA members rely on a highly-skilled and educated workforce, employing many with post-secondary degrees. Like hospitals across the nation, Illinois hospitals continue to face both an immediate need for qualified staff and a long-term shortage of health care workers.
