Political Campaign Activity By Tax-Exempt Hospitals: Legal Guidelines
Prepared by the IHA Legal Department and reviewed by the law firm of Perkins
Coie LLP, this document is intended to provide a basic understanding of
Internal Revenue Code (the "Code") restrictions on the political activities
of tax-exempt organizations. While the restriction are substantial, there
are meaningful opportunities for hospitals and their supporters to
participate in the electoral process.

EMTALA Signage Requirements
