Hospital Signage/Notices

Many state and federal laws and regulations require hospitals to post signs and provide notices to patients, visitors, and the public. As a service to members, the Legal Department has created three documents that list the numerous signs and notices that hospitals must provide to patients and visitors in accordance with state and federal requirements.

• Hospital Patient and Visitor Notices: Illinois Requirements

These three documents, two with Illinois requirements and one with federal requirements, only pertain to signs and notices to patients and visitors. They do not include employment signs and notices required by a variety of other state and federal laws.

While every effort has been made to ensure that the lists are complete, please notify Kathleen Pankau of any omissions so we can update the lists.
