Workforce
Illinois hospitals are local employers that provide essential health services
to their communities. IHA members rely on a highly skilled and educated
workforce, employing many with postsecondary degrees. Like hospitals across the
nation, Illinois hospitals continue to face both an immediate need for qualified
staff and a long-term shortage of health care workers. Illinois

IHA Workforce Survey: 2008 Workforce Profile
In conjunction with the Workforce Task Force, IHA staff developed the
Association's biannual workforce survey of IHA members, which measures Illinois
hospitals' workforce shortages. The 2010 Workforce Profile will focus on
hospital-physician relationships and its results should be distributed to
members in early fall 2010. Questions about IHA’s workforce advocacy efforts, contact
Cathy Grossi at 630.276.5706; questions or comments about the survey, contact
