Health Care Office Professionals
Health Care Office Professionals (HCOP), founded in 1976, is an affiliate society of IHA. With over 30 years of professionalism, its mission is to provide a forum to recognize, support, promote, and enhance the specialized role of the administrative assistant as a highly-qualified professional and an integral part of the health care team.

Benefits of Membership
Membership is open to all health care office professionals of IHA member hospitals. Presently, there are 47 members in HCOP. Membership includes taking advantage of the following:
Education - HCOP holds two conferences per year. The Annual Conference and business meeting in the Spring and a one-day program in the Fall. Programs are geared to issues directly related to Administrative Assistants/Executive Secretaries in today's health care enviornment.
Networking - At HCOP's Annual Conference, we typically meet on Thursday evening prior to the Friday program and business meeting for a brief presentation and networking dinner. Members often find this event to be one of the most enjoyable and valuable assets of their membership in HCOP.
Listserv - The Listserv is also available to all members as a means to seek information, ask for feedback on projects, and share ideas. HCOP Board Members send periodic messages via a Listserv to maintain contact with our membership.
Newsletter - The HCOP newsletter, Etcetera, provides technological updates, regional news and a variety of other helpful information.
