1. Collecting & Using Information.

a. Cookies. Cookies are pieces of data that a website can send to a browser which may be stored on your computer. IHA itself does not use cookies on its website, but IHA does contract with Google Analytics to track traffic on the IHA website, and Google Analytics uses its own cookies to perform this function. The information Google gathers is governed through its privacy which may be found at http://www.google.com/intl/en/privacy.html. The IHA cannot control and is not responsible for Google's use of information. Some web browsers can block third-party cookies, and it is the responsibility of the individual user to decline those cookies if they wish.

b. Member Login. In order to obtain a password for the Members Only portion of the website, users are required to provide certain identifying information, such as name, title, phone number, and email address. IHA uses this information only to determine that a user is entitled to access the Members Only area and to send the user an email stating that he or she has been approved.

c. Education Registration. The IHA website allows users to register and pay for educational programs on-line. This process requires the user to provide certain identifying information. IHA or its affiliate IHREF use this information to register the user for the program and to communicate with the user about the program - e.g., an automatic email confirms registration. Information collected in the registration process may be shared with other registrants of the program - e.g., in a list of registrants provided with the program materials.

d. PAC Contributions. The IHA website allows users to make voluntary contributions to the IHA Political Action Committee. In order to make an on-line contribution, a user is required to provide certain identifying information. IHA uses this information to make reports to the State Board of Elections as required by state law. As such, a donor's name, address, and amount donated may be available to the public from the State Board of Elections. IHA also lists the names of donors by "club level" in the Members Only section of its web site.

e. IHA does not sell or rent user's identifying information to third parties.

2. Links to Other Websites. This website sometimes provides links to other websites. IHA has no control over and is not responsible for the privacy policies or content of those websites.

3. Other IHA Websites. IHA operates several websites for the benefit of public users and members. These websites are covered by this Privacy Policy and governed by this Web Site Privacy Policy.

4. Minors. IHA does not knowingly collect, maintain or process personal information submitted online by anyone under the age of 18.

5. Security. IHA takes reasonable security measures to protect against the loss or misuse of information under its control. We do not guarantee that our safeguards will always work.

6. Privacy Policy Changes. IHA may change this Privacy Policy without notice to members or public users. IHA urges users to periodically review it.
