Illinois Purchasing Collaborative
NATIONAL Strength - REGIONAL Collaboration
- LOCAL Flexibility
WELCOME! Methodist Hospitals, a two
hospital system located in Northwest Indiana, has recently joined the IPC.
What's New
In a recent Premier Inc. news release (April 30, 2008), Ingalls Memorial
Hospital reported savings in excess of $400,000 last year as a result of their
IPC membership. Harold Richards, Director of Materials Management, Ingalls
Memorial Hospital, Harvey, IL, indicated the IPC has been a great partner for
them over the past two years. According to Richards, "The Collaborative has
allowed us to aggregate our volume with other Premier owners and affiliates in
Illinois. It's a virtual IDN through which we can participate at the top tiers
of contracts that we wouldn't be able to achieve on our own."

IPC News
- IPC is pleased to announce that Patrick Sonin was recently promoted to Chief
Operating Officer, IPC. Sonin has been instrumental in contributing to the IPC's
success. Sonin was hired as director, regional contract operations in mid 2006.
Since then, he has negotiated and implemented 32 IPC regional contracts which,
in 2007, provided our members with $1.9 million in reported savings. Sonin
formed and facilitates the IPC Regional Advisory Council which is comprised of a
materials executive from each IPC member hospital/system. The Council provides
direction/recommendations on the program and contracting activities. In his new

for the IPC as well as focus on new member recruitment.
